The young couple that live next door to us are moving today to Stonehaven. Their baby was born on the same day last July as my step-daughters little girl, so as a farewell gift I knitted this little teddy featured in this months "Let's Knit" magazine.
I added some little buttons to the top of the arms and the waistcoat and added a hand knitted with love label.
Started on a little cotton dress this morning in a beautiful summer colours variagated yarn.

Strawberry bootees
Was knitting a little pair of strawberry bootees featured in the August 2013 of the Woman's Weekly Craft Special. I did the first one last August and the second one yesterday and they are two different sizes! I appear to have missed out 4 rows on the foot and added an extra 4 rib rows on the cuff on the original. So will need to knit another two to match each.

Lots of unfinished items finished
Finished a few things that were only half made.
Firstly the little cashmere and cotton hoodie I started a month ago. It is for my niece's baby which isn't due until September. Originally it was started in just the cashmere silk merino yarn but it was too soft and the hem didn't sit properly so I redid it with cotton hems and hood.
I have a bundle of card bits that seem to go together but not yet made up so I finished a couple of those too.

Started on my second strawberry bootee too, and next on the list is the Milly cardigan I started almost a year ago.
Lined the two ipad cases I made, finished a galaxy note sock and made a little dolly and her dress.
Made 20 bars of soap and shampoos, 12 of which were an order I received from ebid.net.

All in a busy crafting week

Funky Fur Knitted ipad bag
This is this weeks make. Using Funky Fur and a matching taupe DK yarn I knitted this up on 10mm needles. I lined the bag with cotton twill and added a zip. Although it is the perfect size for an ipad it would also pass as a handbag.
Once i've written it up I will upload the pattern to ravelry

A few new crafty things
I have made a few more crafty things in the last couple of weeks. All baby things.
Some little cream and white acrylic baby mitts.
2 headbands, one with flowers
pure cotton newborn baby hat and a two tone baby hat.
The pink is pure cotton and the white is bamboo cotton. This is on Etsy as is the multicoloured one.
This pattern is from this months Let's Get Crafting Knitting & Crochet magazine. The yarn was in the kit that came with it. Think I might do it in cotton as a strawberry too

Not a lot of crafting going on
I have not done a lot of crafting since my last post. I have been tidying up my craft area and sorting things out. I have spent a lot of time photographing and listing items in my eBid stores.
I did make 2 cards, one for a friend and one for my hubby. That is the extent of my crafting this week.
I aim to do several more of these in different colours, some with guitar charms in front and others with music notes. I love the effect of these ones. The plain ones are not as nice but are much cheaper.
Well back to the grind. Happy Crafting!

This is the one for my friend. It was cut on the Cameo using a Lori Whitlock file and I think the background paper is from the sugar & spice range.
My cards for sale can be found at http://maelbrigda-handmade-cards.ebid.net There are over 1000 to choose from and most can be personalised.
The other item I made this week were these guitar pick earrings for my daughter.
